Android can show the password for a Wi-Fi network you already joined, on many modern versions. Steps vary slightly by brand (Samsung, Pixel, Xiaomi, and others).
View a saved Wi-Fi password on Android
- Open Settings → Network & internet → Internet (or Connections → Wi-Fi).
- Tap the gear or network name for the Wi-Fi you use.
- Look for Share, QR code, or Password.
- Authenticate with your screen lock or fingerprint.
- Read the password under the QR code, or copy it if shown as text.
If you only see a QR code, another phone can scan it, or some screens also display the passphrase under the code.
If Android will not show the password
- You must unlock the phone as the owner.
- Work or school profiles may hide passwords.
- Older Android versions may not expose the key in Settings.
Fallback: open the router admin page and read Wireless settings. Start with How to log into your router. Common gateways: 192.168.1.1, 192.168.0.1, 10.0.0.1.
